Assault on Police: Woman Biker Pushes Traffic Cop in Warje
Police sub-inspector Pawar is conducting further investigation into this incident.
Pune: In a disturbing incident in the Warje area, a woman riding a two-wheeler verbally abused and physically pushed a female traffic police officer who was regulating traffic. The Warje police have filed a case against the woman biker involved in the incident.
According to the complaint filed by Police Constable Ritika Tambe from the Warje traffic department, she was stationed at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk in Warje when the incident occurred. While she was managing traffic, the woman rider violated traffic rules by driving in the wrong direction. When Constable Tambe attempted to stop her, the woman resorted to verbal abuse and pushed the officer.
Tambe immediately informed her colleague, Constable Chavan, about the incident. The further investigation into the matter is being handled by Police Sub-Inspector Pawar.
