A child who came for a walk with her parents lured her with chocolate and took her to Adosha and tried to rape her.
Pavanangar: In a shocking incident, the police have arrested a man for attempting sexual harassment on a five-year-old girl at the Visapur Fort premises in Maharashtra. The man tried to lure the girl with chocolate and take her to a secluded place to make inappropriate advances. The incident took place on Wednesday. The police have taken action against the accused, Sachin Vasant Saste. The mother of the girl lodged a complaint at the Lonavala Rural Police Station.
The Police Inspector of Lonavala Rural Police Station, Kishor Dhumal, stated that due to the upcoming festive season, there was increased police presence at tourist spots in Maval taluka. People visit these places for picnics and outings. To prevent any untoward incidents, the police had increased patrolling in the area. Additional reinforcements were requested from Pune Rural Headquarters to Visapur Fort. Among them, police officer Sachin Saste was also present at the fort premises.
The five-year-old girl had come to visit the Visapur Fort with her parents. Sachin Saste had offered her chocolate and tried to take her to a secluded place. The girl immediately informed her parents about the incident, who then approached the police. The Lonavala Rural Police have arrested the accused, Sachin Saste.
