Unauthorized Constructions in Chikhali – Action Taken by Municipal Corporation on Tin Sheds
PMC Removes Encroachments Along DP Roads in Kudalwadi Area

Pimpri Chinchwad (MahaEnews) : The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) took action against unauthorized constructions in the Kudalwadi area under Ward No. 02, spanning the region from More Patil Chowk to Kudalwadi Police station. The action was carried out along an 18-meter wide DP road (300 meters long) and a 30-meter wide DP road (550 meters long), covering an area of around 9,000 sq. m. on both sides of the road. The encroachments included approximately 30 RCC constructions and about 45 brick structures along with tin sheds across an area of 4,000 sq. m.
This action was carried out under the direction of PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh, Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale-Patil, City Engineer Makrand Nikam, and Deputy Commissioner Manoj Lonkar.
The demolition was led by Assistant Commissioner Tanaji Nale, Rajesh Agale, Sitaram Bahure, along with Executive Engineers of Construction Permits, Sunildatt Narote and Suryakant Mohite, and Assistant Engineers Manoj Borse, Naresh Jadhav. The team included junior engineers, contractors, and staff from various departments, along with 56 personnel from Maharashtra Security Force, and local police.
The operation utilized two Poclain machines, two JCBs, and two dump trucks for removing the illegal structures. The action will continue on December 19, 2024. On December 18, 2024, the demolition involved 12 officials and staff members from PCMC’s Anti-Encroachment Squad, local police, and the Maharashtra Police.
The municipal corporation has called for the continued removal of encroachments to ensure the development of approved roads as per the sanctioned development plan. PCMC has advised citizens not to construct unauthorized tin sheds or structures without official permission in any part of the city.
