Mumbai: The expansion of the state cabinet will take place on Sunday afternoon at the Raj Bhavan in Nagpur. The oath-taking ceremony will occur a day before the winter session of the legislature begins on December 16. This will be the first time since 1991 that the oath of ministers will be administered in Nagpur. On Sunday afternoon, Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers at the Raj Bhavan lawns.
There has been intense speculation throughout the day in political circles regarding who will be included in the cabinet and who will be excluded. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is expected to call those selected for ministerial positions on Saturday afternoon, informing them to come for the oath-taking ceremony. It is widely believed that the ministerial appointments will be confirmed only after this call from the Chief Minister.
