Good News: Postal department approves new urban PIN Code for Charholi
Residents no longer need to travel to Alandi for postal services.

Pimpri : The Postal Department has taken a significant step toward enhancing postal services in Charholi Budruk by introducing a new urban PIN code. Previously, the area’s post office operated under a rural PIN code. With the new urban PIN code in place, postal services in the region are set to expand, benefiting residents of Charholi and nearby areas. This marks the Postal Department’s acknowledgment of Charholi’s urbanised development.

Charholi Budruk was included in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits in 1997. However, until 2017, the village lacked essential infrastructure. Following various developmental projects, the Chikhali-Moshi-Charholi residential corridor has flourished.
MLA Mahesh Landge played a key role in accelerating development in the incorporated villages through the municipal corporation and the state government. As a result, the population has increased significantly, with numerous housing projects emerging. Despite this, postal services in the area continued under a rural PIN code, and residents had to travel to Alandi for important postal transactions. MLA Landge actively pursued the matter, advocating for a delivery sub-post office for Charholi and expanding postal services. This effort has now borne fruit.

Earlier, the Charholi Budruk post office operated under the rural PIN code 412 105. The newly assigned urban PIN code 411 081 will soon be implemented, establishing a delivery sub-post office. With this change, postal services will become more efficient, increasing the number of postmen and enabling home delivery services. Previously, residents had to travel to Alandi for financial transactions, but now postal services will be available locally in Charholi.
“We are committed to driving development and ensuring that government services are readily available in the villages incorporated into the municipal limits. Our goal is to make sure that residents benefit from the various schemes of the Indian Postal Department, and that their financial transactions become smoother. We had demanded a sub-post office for Charholi and its surroundings, and the Postal Department has responded positively. We hope this service will be effectively implemented, benefiting as several citizens as possible.”
