Pandharpur Food Poisoning: In Pandharpur, workers are poisoned by basundi; 15 treated in ICU
Pandharpur : In Pandharpur, an incident of food poisoning has taken place on Sunday afternoon. After relishing basundi, patta kobi, besan and chapati in the evening, the workers started suffering from vomiting, stomach ache and diarrhea. As a result, around 30 to 32 people were admitted to the Upazila Hospital. 10 to 15 of them were kept in the intensive care unit at night. Arvind Giram, Medical Officer of the Upazila Hospital, has informed that the condition of all is stable at present.
According to the information received, suddenly after having lunch in the monastery near Sri Vitthal Ashram 65 acres in Pandharpur, the devotees started suffering. So he was admitted to Tabodtob Upazila Hospital. It was said by the patients that they ate basundi, cabbage, gram flour in their meals. The patients include children in the age group of 30 to 35 years.

All those poisoned are receiving communal education at Sri Vitthal Ashram. All these are residents of different districts.
