A statement issued on behalf of the federation said that the population of Chikhli, Jadhavwadi, Borhadewadi and Moshi has increased significantly. The area appears to have been heavily populated. Many co-operative housing societies have been formed. 30 to 35 thousand citizens are living in all these housing societies. Citizens of these societies have to go to Pune city and other areas for jobs and business. Also, senior citizens, women and school children of these societies are having difficulty in traveling due to lack of buses in this area. Therefore, the citizens of Pune are urging the Pune Metropolitan Transport Corporation to start Chikhali to Swargate bus. Therefore, taking into account the public sentiment, it is demanded that the PMP administration should take immediate steps to start this bus.
