IPL 2025 | RCB Announces Financial Aid for Families of Stampede Victims; ‘RCB Cares’ Fund Launched for the Injured
On Wednesday, a tragic stampede occurred outside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The incident claimed the lives of 11 people.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) released an official statement expressing deep sorrow over the tragedy. The statement read, “We are deeply saddened by the unfortunate incident that occurred in Bengaluru yesterday. As a mark of respect and solidarity, we are announcing a financial assistance of ₹10 lakh each to the families of the 11 deceased. In addition, to support those who were injured, we are launching the ‘RCB Cares’ fund.”
RCB further stated, “The RCB family is deeply affected by the unfortunate incident that took place in Bengaluru. As a symbol of respect and unity, we are extending a financial assistance of ₹10 lakh each to the families of all 11 victims. Alongside this, the ‘RCB Cares’ fund is being initiated to help those who were injured in the incident.”
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, RCB defeated Punjab Kings by 6 runs to win their first-ever IPL trophy. The following day, Wednesday, the Bengaluru team reached Vidhana Soudha, where Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah honored the entire team. On the other hand, a massive crowd had gathered outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium, all eager to catch a glimpse of the champion RCB team. During this gathering, a stampede broke out, leading to the death of 11 people and leaving many others seriously injured.
