Sindhudurg : A major accident has taken place on the beach of Tarkarli in Malvan around noon today. A boat carrying tourists for scuba diving capsized in the sea here. There were 20 people on board when the boat capsized. Two of them have drowned. Akash Deshmukh is involved in this accident. He is the nephew of Shiv Sena MLA Nitin Deshmukh from Balapur constituency.

The boat had gone for scuba diving this morning with 20 people on the shores of Tarkarli. On the way back from there, there was an accident. The boat capsized a short distance from the shore. After the boat capsized, relief work began to save the tourists. Two died before they were all pulled out of the sea. Akash Deshmukh is involved in this accident. Meanwhile, two people were seriously injured. The injured are being treated at Malvan Rural Hospital. It has come to light that all the tourists in the boat are from Pune and Mumbai.
