In just three hours, more than 2,000 bullock cart owners registered tokens for the country’s largest bullock cart race. This is the first bullock cart race in history to have such a large number of token bookings. The ‘Record Break’ festival will be held in Pimpri-Chinchwad and farmers and bullock cart owners are getting huge response, said Hanumant Jadhav, President of Jai Hanuman Bullock Cart Board.
BJP city president and MLA Mahesh Landage, former mayor Nitin Kalje and former mayor Rahul Jadhav have organized the biggest bullock cart race in the country at Ramayan Maidan in Talgaon Chikhali. On This race is going to be very planned from 28th to 31st May 2022 from 7 am to 7 pm.
Tokens were required to participate in the bullock cart race. Tokens were accepted in the hall at Ramayana Maidan from 9 am to 12 noon on Thursday. This time the bullock cart owners made a big crowd. The race will be organized by drawing a ‘lucky draw’ of this token. Lots of 2,000 names are put in one box. It is planned that the bullock cart, which received the first letter, will run for the first time. The token amount is refunded when the cart is loaded in the ghat, said Rahul Saste.
The ghat is 12 seconds long. Based on the digital clock, the number of seconds the bullock cart completes the race is recorded. About 2,000 bullock carts will run in this ghat. The first 120 cart owners will get a two-wheeler prize. Owners of bullock carts running in the semi-finals and finals will compete for prizes such as JCB, Bulero, tractor and cash prizes.
- Response to race from foreign countries too
The race is getting response from all over the country as it is a feast of eye-catching prizes. Bullock cart owners from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu have booked tokens. Bullock cart owners from Sangli, Satara, Karad, Kolhapur, Solapur, Jalgaon, Jalna, Nashik, Sinnar and Pune and Ahmednagar districts of Maharashtra have registered. Therefore, it has been claimed that this will be the first bullock cart race in the state and the country with the participation of bullock carts from all over the country.

1- Once the bullock cart owner jumps into another cart, both the carts will be discarded.
2- Every bull will be medically examined.
3- If the bull that came under Jukata is nailed out, then the second of the cart will not be mentioned.
4- From 28th to 31st May, as barricade system has been installed at the bottom of the ghat, only bullock cart owners and riders will be allowed inside the barricade.
5- The bottom of the bullock cart ghat and the area near the target will be kept completely empty.
- Strict security arrangements
Due to the huge crowd for the bullock cart race, full control of the bullock cart ghat has been handed over to the police administration for security reasons. Bullock cart parking is arranged separately. Separate parking for two-wheelers and four-wheelers. At every intersection, parking and directional signs have been set up for bullock cart owners. Four-day meals, drinking water, T-shirts and hats will be provided to each cart owner and bullock cart enthusiast. The hall also has a separate arrangement for senior citizens and women to watch live cars on LED screens, the organizers said.
