Raid on gambling den in Uttamnagar area of ​​Pune, action taken against 22 persons

Pune: Uttamnagar police have raided a gambling den in Uttamnagar area. Action has been taken against 22 people including the owner of the gambling den. In this operation 2 lakh 26 thousand 580 rupees has been confiscated from the accused. On Sunday (May 8), a social security team raided an address gambling den in Uttamnagar police station area. The gambling den started near Prestige Public School, behind Devesh Enterprises at Dangat Patil Nagar, NDA Road, Shivne, Pune, in a parking lot of about two thousand square feet on the ground floor of a building under construction.

In this operation, 21 people including the owner of the gambling den, Balu Sitaram Marathe (age 51) have been arrested. In this operation 2 lakh 26 thousand 580 rupees has been seized from the accused. A case has been registered in Uttamnagar police station against a total of 22 accused, including 21 arrested accused and 1 wanted accused. Lights and fans were provided for gambling by unofficial electrical connections in the parking lot on the ground floor of the building under construction for the gambling club. Gambling was going on day and night in this club with about 15 tables and 75 chairs. Uttamnagar police are conducting further investigation in this case.
