PCMC Appeals to Citizens to Pay Property Tax by June 30 to Avail Discounts

Pimpri-Chinchwad Residents Respond Positively to Online Tax Payment System
Pimpri Chinchwad | The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has urged citizens to pay their property tax by June 30, 2025, in order to avail various concessions provided by the civic body, informed Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh.
Citizens who pay their taxes through the official PCMC website or mobile app are eligible for a direct discount of up to 10%. Additionally, properties registered under women’s names receive a tax rebate of up to 30%, which is a significant step towards women’s empowerment. The Municipal Corporation has adopted a policy of offering general tax concessions for:

Properties registered under persons with disabilities

Properties in women’s names
As a result, many citizens, especially women, are coming forward to benefit from these incentives.
To ensure fast, transparent, and citizen-centric services, PCMC’s Tax Collection Department has introduced online services such as:

Massive Arrears in Property Tax
Currently, PCMC is facing a significant increase in pending property tax dues. As many as 76,688 property owners, each with outstanding dues exceeding ₹10,000, together owe around ₹498 crore. The civic body has sent pre-seizure notices along with outstanding bills to these defaulters. The Tax Collection Department has warned that seizure actions will be initiated if dues are not paid on time.
The Municipal Corporation emphasized that financial resources are essential for the overall development of the city. Citizens are urged to pay their taxes promptly and actively contribute to the city’s development process.
Online Tax Payment Receives Encouraging Response
So far, 1,89,823 citizens have availed the 10% rebate by paying their taxes online, resulting in the collection of ₹189.52 crore through online transactions alone. The online tax payment system is receiving positive feedback from Pimpri-Chinchwad residents.
PCMC is continuously working to improve infrastructure, sanitation, roads, water supply, and other essential services for the holistic development of the city. Property tax is a major source of funding for these developmental activities.
