Pimpri-Chinchwad Smart City has developed an e-commerce merchant module with the aim of strengthening the local economy of the city, providing employment to the locals as well as providing quality products to the consumers at discounted rates. A one-day workshop was organized by Smart City for the business class to provide information on online shopping facilities offered through e-commerce merchandise module. The workshop was well received by the business community.
The principal of the college, Dr. Vinita Basantani, Assistant Professor Hemant Rajestha, Zamtani Group President Parmanand Zhamtani, Rajan Aswani, Grocery and Dried Fruits Traders Association President Sham Megharajani, Readymade Association President Neeraj Chawla, Wholesale, Readymade and Hosiery Traders Association President Mahesh Motwani , Sindhu Seva Sangh etc. Presidents, representatives and 70 traders were present.
The official mobile application and web portal ‘PCMC Smart Sarathi’ has been developed by Pimpri-Chinchwad Smart City to boost the economic development of the city. Through this, the facility of ‘E-Commerce Merchant Module’ has been made available for the convenience of traders and consumers in the city. The PCMC Smart Sarathi e-commerce merchant module will provide online shopping facility to the citizens and they will get the benefit of discounts.
It will also be useful for business growth, said Abhijeet Pathak, Ashish Chikne and Vivek Patil of Smart Sarathi. The plan was presented in detail. On occasion, the merchant brothers answered their questions with relevant answers. Professionals were invited to participate in the initiative by registering on the web portal and mobile app ‘PCMC Smart Sarathi’. The program was moderated by Diksha Yadav.
