The competition was open to all women sisters in Bhosari area. At the Tukaram temple in Sant Tukaramnagar, Bhosari, all the women drew mehndi on their hands with different types of embroidery. It was observed that various social messages were conveyed through most of the mehndi designs under the Subkata competition.
Hundreds of women from Bhosari area including Smita Atalkar, Varsha Telgote, Amrin Patel, Mohini Bhosale, Nivedita Mane, Sonali Kadam, Megha Sonwane, Anushka Shinde, Bharti Suryavanshi, Kalpana Dhadse, Madhuri Marotkar, Diksha Kadale etc. were present.
