Martyr Prashant Jadhav cremated; The kumkum on the forehead of the concubine remains

Kolhapur: Prashant Shivaji Jadhav, son of Basarge village in Gadhinglaj taluka of Kolhapur, who died in an accident in which an Indian Army bus crashed into a river in Turtak, Ladakh, was cremated today in his native village. In a very mournful atmosphere, the crowd gathered to pay their last respects to Veer Jawana, showered flowers and paid their last respects to Jadhav’s body.

Tribute was paid to Jadhav while maintaining the kumkum on the forehead of his wife. Therefore, on the one hand, many gram panchayats have decided to ban the practice of widowhood. The village of Basarge paid their last respects to Veer Suputra of his village by honoring his wife and keeping the kumkum on his forehead. The village of Basarge in Gadhinglaj taluka also took a commendable decision to ban the practice of widowhood from today. Its implementation has started from the funeral of Shaheed Jadhav. Therefore, this is going to be a true tribute to Prashant.

Jawan Prashant Jadhav’s body was brought to Belgaum Airport by a special plane at 8 am today. From there, the body was taken to their hometown. Citizens from all over Panchkrushi had gathered to pay their last respects to Prashant Jadhav. Meanwhile, the outcry from his wife and parents after he was brought home was heart wrenching. On his way to his funeral, the villagers greeted him by showering flowers. This accident in Ladakh has caused irreparable damage to the country. However, the villagers said that the country will never forget the sacrifices made by these soldiers.
