Kolhapurkar’s ‘hand with Congress’: At the end of 15th round, Jayshree Jadhav is leading with 15,000 votes!
Kolhapur: From the first round, Mahavikas Aghadi’s Jayashree Jadhav led BJP’s Satyajit Kadam for 15 consecutive rounds. In the 15th round, they took the lead with 14 thousand 938 votes.
Jadhav had taken the lead with 2719 votes in the first round. In the second round too, Jadhav got 5515 Kadam 2513 votes. Jadhav had a lead of 3002 with a total lead of 5139. They started marching towards victory.
7781 votes were counted in the first round. Counting votes are 1,70,761. Mahavikas Aghadi’s Jayashree Jadhav got 4586 votes while BJP’s Satyajit Kadam got 2719 votes. The results will be clear by 12 noon. Jayashree Jadhav of the Congress and Satyajit Kadam of the BJP are at loggerheads. 15 candidates are in the fray.
The counting of votes began at eight o’clock in the morning. The result is likely to be clear by one o’clock in the afternoon. Guardian Minister Satej Patil and BJP state president Chandrakant Patil made this election a matter of prestige. The turnout for the by-election was 61.19 per cent on Tuesday.
