Pimpri: On behalf of the Municipal Corporation, an interest-free loan of Rs. 1 lakh will be sanctioned for classes 1 to 4 as educational loan for the children of officers and employees who are members of the Labor Welfare Fund. The repayment of the said loan will be deducted from the salary in equal installments of 10 to 20 months in total. Also, Additional Commissioner Ulhas Jagtap informed that 80 rupees per month will be deducted from the salary of class 1 and 2 officers and Rs 50 from the salary of class 3 and 4 as labor welfare fund subscription.
A Labor Welfare Fund has been established for the implementation of various welfare schemes for the officers and employees of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. d. In the general meeting held on 30th April 2022, a policy decision has been taken by majority to implement various welfare schemes. In order to avail the said scheme, the members have to submit the demand application along with the recommendation of the concerned branch head / department head during the period of June to December of the academic year.
Children of Kamgar Kalyan Nidhi members may be pursuing higher education abroad, While taking into account the service period of the members and checking the educational documents, a loan financial assistance of up to 3 lakh rupees without interest will be approved. After the full recovery of the loan, a decision will be taken regarding granting the educational loan for the next academic year. Education loan will be approved if only one child at a time. Also, financial assistance of Rs. 25,000 will be sanctioned to the heirs of the deceased employees who are members of the Labor Welfare Fund. Newly recruited regular employees can avail the benefits of the scheme only after becoming members of the Labor Welfare Fund.
All regular officers/employees and education department employees are required to become members to benefit from the scheme. For that, concerned Branch Head / Head of Department should immediately inform the Administration Department regarding the collection of Labor Welfare Fund subscription. The respective Heads of Departments should deduct Rs.80 per month from the salary of class 1 and 2 officers and Rs.50 per month from the salary of class 3 and 4 employees who are members of the Labor Welfare Fund from the salary of August 2022. The details of the amount collected should be handed over by the Accounts Department to the Labor Welfare Department every month, Such instructions have been given to the concerned municipal departments.
