Mumbai: Amravati MP Navneet Rana and her husband MLA Ravi Rana have been greatly relieved. The Dindoshi court has given the Rana couple one month to apply for a house in Khar. The court also directed the Mumbai Municipal Corporation not to take any action till further orders. Navneet Rana and Ravi Rana were ordered by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation to demolish an unauthorized house in Khar. The duo then rushed to court. Against this backdrop, the court has now given the Rana couple one month.
What exactly is the case?
The Rana couple has a house at Khar in Mumbai and many complaints were lodged with the municipality regarding the building in which the house is located. After receiving complaints that the building rules have been violated by constructing more than the approved plan in many of the flats in the building, the Mumbai Municipal Corporation sent notices to several flat owners under section 488 for investigation and after that the Mumbai Municipal Corporation team investigated the matter.
Show reasons for illegal construction. Reject the Rana couple’s reply to the notice and remove the unauthorized construction within 7 to 15 days, otherwise we will have to take action in this regard.
