Biggest action in Aryan Khan drugs case; Those two NCB officers suspended

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has suspended two investigating officers in the Cordelia Cruise Drugs case involving actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. This order has been directed to be implemented with immediate effect. Meanwhile, the investigation into the Aryan Khan drugs case was under discussion for several reasons. Question marks were raised over the functioning of the NCB. That is why this action against the two investigating officers has become so important.

Chief Investigation Officer and Superintendent of Aryan Khan Drugs Case V. V. Singh and intelligence officer Ashish Ranjan Prasad have been suspended. Both the officers have been charged with negligence and misconduct in the investigation. The action has scarred all the officials involved in the Aryan Khan drugs case.

Meanwhile, on October 3, an NCB team led by the then Mumbai divisional director Sameer Wankhede raided the Cordelia Cruise. A number of people, including Aryan Khan, were arrested in connection with the operation. All of them were arrested after investigation. A total of 19 people were arrested in the case. Later in November, Aryan Khan and his friends Arbaaz Merchant and Moonmoon Dhamecha were granted bail by the Mumbai High Court. The trio were acquitted on the grounds that there was no concrete evidence of involvement in the drug racket.
