During the Monsoon Session of the Legislature, a fierce fight broke out between the ruling party and the opposition in the House today. Tribal Development Minister Vijaykumar Gavit had replied on Wednesday that there is no death due to malnutrition in the state. Strongly objecting to this, Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Ajit Pawar and NCP MLA Dilip Valse Patil demanded that correct figures should be given and not misleading. After that, Gavit remained firm on the claim that even today there is no death due to malnutrition. Shiv Sena MLA Aditya Thackeray along with NCP leaders got angry with the same answer of tribal development minister and there was a big uproar in the hall due to a phrase used by Aditya.

‘We should be ashamed of how the situation in the tribal areas is, the same answer is being given despite the reserved answer, is the minister going to find a solution by forming an all-party committee?’ Aditya Thackeray asked this question. However, BJP leader and minister Sudhir Mungantiwar took a very aggressive stance by objecting to the word shame used by Aditya. Sudhir Mungantiwar said strongly objecting to Aditya Thackeray’s statement that he is a senior. After Mungantiwar’s criticism, NCP leader and MLA Jayant Patil rushed to take Aditya Thackeray’s side. Patil argued that Aditya had commented on the situation and it was not a statement about the minister.
