#MeToo (मीटू) मोहिमेअंतर्गत राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार विजेती पार्श्वगायिका चिन्मयी श्रीपदाने तमिळ संगीतकार आणि लेखक वैरामुथु यांच्यावर लैंगिक शोषणाचे आरोप केले होते. ट्विटरच्या माध्यमातून तिने वैरामुथु यांच्या गैरवर्तणुकीविरोधात आवाज उठवला होता. पण कदाचित याचीच शिक्षा तिला मिळत आहे. कारण गेल्या पाच महिन्यांपासून चिन्मयी बेरोजगार आहे. वैरामुथु यांच्याविरोधात तिने काही दिवसांपूर्वीच तक्रारसुद्धा दाखल केली. ट्विट करत तिने यासंदर्भातील माहिती दिली होती.
‘राष्ट्रीय महिला परिषदेकडे मी वैरामुथु यांच्याविरोधात तक्रार केली आहे. सध्या माझ्याकडे हाच कायदेशीर मार्ग आहे. ही परिषद माझी मदत करेल अशी मी अपेक्षा करते,’ असं ट्विट चिन्मयीने केलं. त्याचप्रमाणे तिला काम मिळत नसल्याचंही तिने एका ट्विटमध्ये स्पष्ट केलं. ‘तमिळनाडू फिल्म इंडस्ट्रीकडून अद्यापही माझ्या कामावर बंदी आहेच. यासंदर्भात मी संबंधित व्यक्तीला काही महिन्यांपूर्वी पत्रसुद्धा पाठवलं होतं. मात्र त्यांच्या प्रयत्नांनाही यश मिळत नाहीये.’

I have registered a formal complaint against Mr. Vairamuthu with the National Council for Women. As of now this is the only legal route that I have.
I am looking forward to the NCW @Manekagandhibjp in helping me take this complaint to a logical conclusion.@PMOIndia

In the meanwhile the Ban on my work in the Tamilnadu film industry continues. I had sent in a letter to Sri @VishalKOfficial several months ago. Despite his best intentions for which I am grateful, the Council apparently cannot intervene in the workings of the dubbing union.
चिन्मयीने अभिनेता आणि डबिंग युनियनचे अध्यक्ष राधा रवी यांच्यावरही लैंगिक गैरवर्तणुकीचे आरोप केले होते. त्यांच्याविरोधातही तिने तक्रार दाखल केली आहे. डबिंग युनियनने चिन्मयीच्या कामावर बंदी आणली आहे. युनियनला जाहीर माफीनामा देण्यासोबतच दीड लाख रुपये दंड भरण्यास तिला सांगण्यात आलं होतं.

The Dubbing Union headed by President Mr Radha Ravi will be fighting me in court in the coming weeks.
In addition I have faced Mr Radha Ravi and team’s constant character assassinations, insult and abuse that everyone has been watching.Wish me luck 🙂

There is no ICC in the Tamilnadu Film Industry; none in the Dubbing Union. To complain against President Radha Ravi, you must take the permission of President Radha Ravi. When you do, you’ll be banned like I was 🙂

वैरामुथु यांच्या गैरवर्तणुकीबाबत सांगताना चिन्मयी म्हणाली, ‘आम्ही स्वित्झर्लंडला गेलो होतो. तिने मी परफॉर्म केलं. कार्यक्रम संपल्यावर सगळे गेल्यानंतर माझी आई आणि मला थांबण्यास सांगितलं. आयोजकांनी मला वैरामुथु यांच्या हॉटेलवर जाण्यास सांगितलं. मी कारण विचारताच त्यांनी को-ऑपरेट करण्यास सांगितलं. मी साफ नकार देत आम्हाला भारतात पाठवण्याची विनंती केली. त्यावेळी त्यांनी माझं पुढे काहीच करिअर नाही अशी धमकी दिली.’
चिन्मयीने बरीच तामिळ आणि हिंदी गाणी गायली आहेत. नागराज मंजुळे दिग्दर्शित ‘सैराट’ या चित्रपटातील प्रसिद्ध ‘सैराट झालं जी’ हे गाणं तिनेच गायलं आहे.
