एनपीपीचे आमदार तिरोन अबो आणि अन्य दहा नागरीकांची हत्या करणाऱ्या दहशतवाद्यांना शोधून काढण्यासाठी अरुणाचल प्रदेशमधील तिरापच्या जंगलात भारतीय सैन्यदलाने मोठी शोध मोहिम सुरु केली आहे. लांगदिंग, चेंगलांग जिल्ह्यात तिराप जंगलाचा भाग येतो. एनएससीएन (आयएम) च्या दहशतवाद्यांनी हे हत्याकांड घडवून आणले.

तिरोन अबो आसामवरुन परतत असताना त्यांचा तीन गाडयांचा ताफा नागा दहशतवाद्यांनी अडवला. या दहशतवाद्यांनी तिन्ही गाडयांवर अंदाधुंद गोळीबार सुरु केला. ज्यात तिरोन अबो यांचा मृत्यू झाला. लष्कराच्या स्पेशल फोर्सेसच्या तुकडयादेखील या शोध मोहिमेत सहभागी झाल्या आहेत.

Indian Army: Army is working closely in synergy with police, administration & intelligence agencies to identify the insurgents involved in the killings. The Indian Army has assured that it will soon track down and bring to justice all perpetrators involved in this horrific act.
शोधकार्यासाठी लष्कराने रात्री उड्डाण करण्याची क्षमता असलेली विशेष हेलिकॉप्टर्स तैनात केली आहेत. हल्लेखोरांना शोधून काढण्यासाठी सैन्यदल पोलीस, प्रशासन आणि गुप्तचर यंत्रणांसोबत मिळून काम करत आहे. या भीषण कृत्यामध्ये सहभागी असलेल्या शोधून अद्दल घडवू असे भारतीय लष्कराने आश्वासन दिले आहे.
